Not what you'd expect...

LifeChurch of Mt. Juliet is not a church like most people think of when they think “church.”  “Church as usual” is a hard habit to break, but we’re trying. It takes a little extra work in listening, caring, and thinking outside the box. One thing that we try to do is to meet people where they are  and  try to encourage forward motion…. kind of like Jesus did when He walked the earth.
We live in the same community, have the same struggles, and we’re asking the same questions that you are.  We’re a group of people from many “walks of life” that gather together to serve and worship God. We’ll go ahead and admit it: Some are close to Him, others want to get to know Him better, and others are just checking things out for now. If you’re looking for the perfect church, that’s not us. Past experiences of those representing God and pretending to be perfect is what turned us off in the past. Maybe that’s your story too.  Maybe not.
Wherever you are in your walk with Christ, we welcome you.  Instead of focusing on what you wear, how much money you make, or the home you live in, we focus on getting to know Him better and helping other people do the same thing. We’re all in this journey together, so we want to do life together.
At LifeChurch of Mt. Juliet, it doesn’t matter if you’ve been in church your whole life or you’ve just now decided to see if God can make any difference in your life, We welcome you!

Our Mission:

Our mission is to help people have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, leading them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Our Values:

These values describe the inner fabric of who we are:

  • The Bible is our compass for living.
  • We will laugh hard, loud, and often.
  • Spontaneously love and serve others because they matter to God.
  • Believe in every kid.
  • Accept everyone as they are, but encourage forward motion
  • God deserves passionate worship and prayer
  • We will always bring our best, because excellence honors God and inspires people.
  • Doing life together is always better than doing life alone.
  • We will do anything short of sin to win someone to Christ.
  • We give up some things that we love for something that we love even more.
  • You make a life by what you give not what you get
  • Other churches are our teammates, not our competition, so we will partner with other churches when possible and we will help other churches get started.
  • Finish strong.

Our Support System

Even though Jimmy Johnson is the defending Nascar Champion, he wouldn’t be winning any races without his support system. Imagine how ridiculous it would be if he came into the pits, jumped out of the car, changed his own tires, put gas in the tank, and then got back in to finish the race! You would spell Jimmy Johnson with a L-O-S-E-R.

Besides a pit crew, Jimmy also has a crew chief, coach, sponsors, and more. Everyone contributes to the team and they win championships. Winning is only possible on the racetrack with a good support system. The same is true in planting a church, including LifeChurch of Mt. Juliet. We have a great support system of partners. Besides our launch team members, LifeChurch of Mt. Juliet is very proud to be affiliated and supported by some great organizations, including LifeChurch.tv and the Evangelical Covenant Conference. These phenomenal organizations and a few others, provide coaching, support, accountability, relationships, and much more. Please feel free to browse their websites for additional information.

Join Our Team!

Have you ever wanted to really make a difference in someone’s life? Maybe you used to be passionate about serving God but your relationship with God isn’t what it used to be because you know that you should be serving more and using your gifts. We would like to personally invite you to join us as we embark on something that is bigger than ourselves. People experience God through the sunset, television, and many other ways, but the most effective way is through other people. God uses people to reach people. We are looking for people to come along side us permanently, but we also need people to commit short term to help us, perhaps as short as 3-6 months or even a couple of months.

People Needs:

  • Greeters
  • Hospitality
  • Audio/Visual
  • Set Design
  • Small Group Leaders/Hosts
  • Children Ministry Leaders
  • Student Ministry Leaders
  • People who love other people unconditionally
  • YOU!
